Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system (CNS). Insufficient GABAergic activity may induce neuronal hyperexcitation which may lead to stress, anxiety, restlessness, and sleep and mood disorders. - Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system (CNS).
- Insufficient GABAergic activity may induce neuronal hyperexcitation which may lead to stress, anxiety, restlessness, and sleep and mood disorders.

Dose
IMPORTANT NOTE: Metagenics Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) has been upgraded and is more concentrated, with a lower dose to provide the required amount of GABA.
DOSE FREQUENCY: It is recommended GABA is taken in divided doses, twice daily.
1/4 metric teaspoon (700mg) is equal to 500mg of GABA
For stress, anxiety and depression: 250mg once to twice daily.
For insomnia: 1/8 metric tsp (250mg) - 1/4 metric tsp (500mg) before bed.
For fibromyalgia: 1/8 metric tsp (250mg) - 1/4 metric tsp (500mg) twice daily.
For chronic pain: 1/8 metric tsp (250mg) - 1/4 metric tsp (500mg) twice daily.
For epilepsy: 1/8 metric tsp (250mg) - 1/4 metric tsp (500mg) three times daily.
For drug and alcohol addiction: 1/8 metric tsp (250mg) - 1/4 metric tsp (500mg) twice daily
