Dose
Adults and children over 12 years:
Take 1 capsule a day with water, at the same time each day.
2 Capsules a day may be recommended for the first 2 days to maximise the 24 hour anti-adhesive effect, offering some initial protection against bacterial adhesion in the case of an infection.
Children under 12 years:
Take 1 capsule a day with water, at the same time each day.
If pain or irritation persists for more than 48 hours consult your healthcare professional. See your healthcare professional immediately if you see blood in your urine.
Indications
Active UTI:
Flordis Ellura should be taken as soon as possible to flush the bacteria from the urinary tract, in combination with the prescribed antibiotic.
Recurrent cystitis:
Patients may benefit by taking a packet of Flordis Ellura every few months, or when they first feel vulnerable to infection, to maintain a clean urinary tract, to help reduce recurrence.
